Our

Statement of Faith

These Statements outlines the biblical foundations that shape our beliefs and guide our mission to glorify God, disciple believers, and proclaim Christ’s love and salvation to the
world.

These scripturally-based truths define who God is, who we are, the reality of eternity, and the timeless ways of God that lead to life. They provide a framework for conviction, grounded in truth and compassion, as we strive to grow in faith, extend God’s grace, and journey together as a Christ-centered community.

Our Statement of Faith

1. The Triune God:
We believe in one holy, perfect, and eternal God, self-existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

2. God and Creation:
We believe that God is the Creator of the world and everything in it. He created humanity in His image as male and female, designed for relationship with Him and to experience His goodness. Humanity’s sin resulted in separation from God and disrupted His purpose for our lives. Because of this, we are incapable of restoring our relationship with God by our own efforts.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:13-16; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3)

3. Jesus Christ, Our Lord, and Saviour:

We believe that the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the only one who reconciled us to God. Fully God and fully man, He became incarnate through the miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. Living a sinless life, He offered Himself as the perfect atonement for humanity’s sins through His sacrificial death on the cross. This reconciliation (salvation) is entirely a gift of God’s grace, offered to all solely by faith in Jesus Christ and empowered to live a life of holiness.

(John 1:14-18; Luke 1:26-35; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Titus 3:4-7; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8-11, 10:8-13, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

4. The Death, Burial, Resurrection, and Return of Jesus Christ:
We believe that Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross for the salvation of humanity, was buried, and rose again on the third day, triumphing over death through the power of His resurrection. After His resurrection, He appeared to many, including His disciples, proclaiming the establishment of His kingdom. He ascended to heaven and will return in glory to fulfill God’s purposes: raising all people for judgment, granting eternal life to the redeemed, and bringing eternal condemnation to the lost. In doing so, He will establish a new heaven and new earth. This truth forms the foundation of our worldview, empowering us to live daily in faith, hope, and love as Jesus did.

(1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25; John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Ephesians 5:18; 2 Corinthians 6:14, 7:1, John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15)

5. The Holy Bible
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God – accurate and applicable to our
lives. The interpretation and application of Scriptures (old testament and new testament) must be considered through the framework of the new covenant and the example of Jesus Christ –the living Word of God.

(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 1 Corinthians 2:13)

6. The Ministry of The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells and empowers believers to live godly lives, bear fruit, and serve effectively. Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience given by God, accompanied by speaking in unknown languages as an evidence, available to every believer. The ultimate purpose of this baptism is not merely the gift of tongues but empowerment to operate in all the gifts of the Spirit including generosity as part of bringing God’s reality to our world as witnesses. The gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit remain active and are given for the edification of the Church.

(Acts 1:8; 2:1-4, 4:30, 8:14-17, 10:44-45; Galatians 3:14, 5:22-23; Jude 1:20; Romans 8:11; 1Corinthians 12:4-11; James 5:14; Mark 16:17; Ephesians 4)

7. The Church
The Church is the Body of Christ, with Jesus as its Head, brought to life and empowered by the Holy Spirit. It exists both universally, as all believers united in Christ, and locally, as a tangible expression of community, worship, and mission. The Church is called to glorify God, edify believers, proclaim the gospel to all nations, and promote justice and love in the world.

(Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-16; Acts 2:42-47)

8. Marriage and Relationships
We believe that God’s design for marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage, as God intended. This divine plan reflects His purposes for love, companionship, and the flourishing of humanity. We uphold the sanctity of marriage as a covenant relationship ordained by God.

(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:1-9; Proverbs 5:15-19; Ephesians 5:22-23; 1Corinthians 6:9, 7:1-4; Galatians 5:16)

9. Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that all human life is sacred, created in the image and likeness of God, and should be valued and protected from conception to natural death. Life is a gift from God, and each person has a divinely ordained purpose, irrespective of their circumstances. As part of this commitment, we advocate for the protection and care of all life, particularly the vulnerable and marginalized. We affirm the inherent dignity of every individual and are committed to promoting their well-being, as God commands us to love our neighbours and care for the vulnerable.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:15)
